Now are Hollywood stars going to take over the catwalks too?

At the men’s shows in Milan, Miuccia Prada booked Gary Oldham, Willem Dafoe, and Adrien Brody, among other larger-than-life figures to show off her fall 2012 menswear line. Fortunately for models (or unfortunately for Muiccia), no one can focus on the clothes when Dafoe and friends are wearing them. These guys aren’t exactly clothes hangars; they’re show stealers. So, no, I doubt Hollywood will be stealing all the fashion shows, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Prada copycat cameos here and there, since where there are stars, there’s media attention. And it’s probably a nice change for the actors, memorizing a script that’s so straight-forward: step, step, step, step, piercing glare, pivot, step, step, step… Actually, since they walked a rectangular path around a room, they didn’t even have to master the daunting pivot.
